BASIRA: Journal of Behavioral Law, Analytical Sharia, Society, Integrity, and Regulatory Affairs

BASIRA is a high-quality, peer-reviewed, international journal dedicated to the rigorous study of Islamic jurisprudence through a contemporary, multidisciplinary lens. The name "Basira" (derived from the Arabic word for insight or discernment) reflects the journal’s mission: to provide profound intellectual clarity and vision in navigating the complexities of modern legal and societal challenges within the framework of Sharia. Unlike traditional legal journals, BASIRA bridges the gap between normative Sharia (the law as it is written) and Behavioral Law (how law interacts with human psychology and social reality). We focus on how Islamic legal principles are manifested in daily life, institutional governance, and global regulatory frameworks. The journal invites scholars to submit original research, critical reviews, and case studies that contribute to the following five pillars: Behavioral Law & Society, Analytical Sharia, Integrity & Ethics, Regulatory Affairs, and Contemporary Ijtihad.
