Samarinda International Journal of Islamic Studies (SIJIS) published by berkah smart akademika. The topic encompasses both textual and fieldwork studies, exploring diverse viewpoints in areas such as law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and beyond. Initially, the journal primarily functioned as an academic platform exclusive to lecturers and professors affiliated with the State Institute of Islamic Studies. Nevertheless, as it evolved, the journal expanded its reach to a wider audience, successfully attracting scholars and researchers from outside the Institute to actively participate and contribute.
